You know what they say ‘history repeats itself’ well so does fashion lol, I am only coming to understand that fashion is cyclical in nature, every other 2 decades or so trending pieces from that time come back and people start wearing them again as if they were cool 😂. Now that I am almost 30 I am witnessing certain trends starting to come back, I am guilty of taking part in one of them, the bootleg pants 🙈. Guys we wore bootleg jeans in primary school, that was the coolest thing ever, so when I saw them again, I Just had to have them, in my defence I always style them to death 💀. See inspo below.
Fashion Trends and which to copy.
- Denim skirt Trend – I appreciate this trend because finally the conservative ladies can have something they can wear, I love that there are variations of this skirt, you can wear it short or long but the fashion girls are really loving this one. The bad part about it is its a trend it will not last, so keep that in mind when you are investing in one, rather thrift than purchase an expensive one. This one copy but pay a maximum of $5 on it. See some fashion Inspo below.
- Oversized shirt Trend – Now this is a trend I love ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ and I encourage all thee Zim fashion girls to invest in one and the best quality because these never go out of fashion. They are classic, timeless and can be worn literally everywhere, church, work brunch you name it. Get a good quality one from Denise K Lifestyle. See some pinterest inspo below.
- Co-ord Sets – Again this is trend that I absolutely because out of this one outfit you can make 8 other fits to hangout in this Harare of ours. So this set is an investment , you can pair the pants with a tanktop and the shirt with jeans or slacks the options are endless, makesure to invest in a good quality one
Fashion trends come and go, just keep that in mind when you make your purchases, don’t spend too much on trends but focus your money on good quality pieces, preferably made in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 . Classic pieces go a long way in creating looks for your closet and they also help you save money.
